Alan has 20 years’ elite coaching experience in both young athlete development and elite athlete performance within a diverse set of sports that includes Athletics, Softball, Baseball, Triathlon, Golf, Dressage, Polo and Football.
Many of Alan’s clients have competed at the highest levels in their respective sports, including at the 2016 Rio Olympics. He has worked in the UK, Spain, Germany, USA and Canada and has been a member of coaching staffs’ which have won silver medals in European Championships in Baseball and Softball. He’s coached at two World Cups and one World Championship, where Great Britain finished 5th and 10th respectively.
Alan’s coaching experience follows a career as an athlete (400m), footballer, rugby player and triathlete, achieving representative honours during his younger years before injury curtailed his competitive career. He has extensive experience in athlete development through planning, implementing and monitoring strength and conditioning programs for both individuals and teams. He currently works for British Baseball Federation as Director of Sports Science.
