Before embarking on any programme, it’s absolutely vital to assess whether you should be losing weight in the first place. If that is, in fact, the best plan of action for your health and wellbeing, then it’s essential that you follow a plan that is bespoke to you and enables you to meet your goals in a healthy, realistic way.
Weight loss, or fat loss?
Anyone can lose weight. If your only goal is seeing a smaller number on the scales then that’s easy, but if you want to lose fat and not just weight then that requires a more careful approach so that you don’t start losing muscle and you don’t compromise your immune system or your fitness.
Our weight loss management programmes are totally bespoke to you and approach your weight from a holistic perspective. We don’t just focus on the nutritional side of weight loss, but also the psychological side. Are there any emotional barriers to your weight loss? How do we overcome them in a way that keeps you feeling safe and comfortable? Why did you gain weight in the first place?
1-2-1 or remote weight loss support
From our Horsham clinic, we can support clients in as personal a way as they need. If accountability is key, we offer regular meetings to keep you on track or get you back on it, without judgement, if you have veered off course. You might prefer to know we are there but not want, or be able, to meet us in person. In that instance, we can arrange telephone calls, online video calls or just straight emails if that’s what you prefer. If you are signed up to our online performance coaching, many of the workouts come with optional meal plans that we can further build your weight loss around.
Maintaining fitness throughout your weight loss
With your health being our main priority, what we are absolutely determined to avoid is any loss of fitness or energy throughout the weight loss process. If you need to reduce your weight we will help you achieve it, but we will do so in a way that will give you energy, not take it away. We don’t just want you to look good, but to feel healthy too. Often, fitness and weight loss go hand-in-hand and your nutritional needs may change as you become lighter or fitter. If your daily activity increases, you may even find you need more calories than before, which is why we never subscribe to just one plan and we always monitor you at regular intervals.
Weight loss is a highly personal area, both physically and emotionally. If you would like support, guidance or to find out more, please get in touch.
